Parts of the theatre´s history in Luže from its beginnings to the 21th century

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá historií divadelních produkcí v Luži, především pak vznikem a historií divadelního ochotnického spolku Jaroslav Luže. Práce chronologicky řadí nejdůležitější etapy, události, osobnosti a inscenace a snaží se je popsat s ohledem na historický kontext. Začíná v 17. století Rakovnickou vánoční hrou a lidovým divadlem, pokračuje předspolkovou činností a vznikem ochotnického divadla v Luži. Dále analyzuje unikátní pramen, a to Režijní knihu z let 1859-1880. Následně popisuje spolkovou činnost v období světových válek, období 1945-1968 a období normalizace až do "sametové revoluce" a nástupu demokracie. Konkrétněji se zabývá analýzou tří divadelních inscenací, které vznikly v 80. a 90. letech 20. století a byly v určitých ohledech pro soubor výjimečné: Možná je na střeše kůň, Lumpacivagabundus aneb Ludrácký trojlístek a Profesionálové. V závěru je popsána činnost souboru od roku 2000 po současnost.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the history of theater productions in Luže and, above all, the creation and history of the volunteer theater association Jaroslav Luže. The work chronologically ranks the most important stages, events, personalities and productions and tries to describe them with regard to the historical context. It begins in the 17th century with the Rakovnická vánoční hra and folk theater, and continues with pre-Union activities and the creation of a volunteer theater in Luž at the beginning of the 19th century. He also analyzes a unique source, the Director's Book from 1859-1880. Subsequently, it describes the association's activity during the world wars, the period 1945-1968 and the period of normalization until the "velvet revolution" and the advent of democracy. More specifically, it deals with the analysis of three theater productions that were created in the 80s and 90s of the 20th century and were exceptional for the ensemble in certain respects. "Možná je na střeše kůň", "Lumpacivagabundus" and "Profesionálové". In the conclusion, the ensemble's activities from 2000 to the present are described.
