Gender Issues in the Workplace of Police of the Czech republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou genderu na pracovišti Policie ČR. V diplomové práci jsou popsány nejdůležitější pojmy, termíny a oblasti související s problematikou genderu, personálního řízení a Policie České republiky. Celou prací se prolíná problematika genderu zaměřená zejména na postavení žen v přímém výkonu služby u Policie ČR. Hlavní náplní práce je zjistit, zda podle názorů samotných policistů a policistek ovlivňuje gender pracovní postavení zaměstnanců u Policie ČR okres Břeclav. Výzkum praktické části diplomové práce zjišťuje především rozdílnost názorů policistů a policistek na přijímání, odměňování a povyšování žen a mužů do vedoucích pozic u územního odboru Policie ČR okres Břeclav a zaměřuje se také na oblast diskriminace žen.

Abstract:

My thesis with gender problems at the workplace of the Police of the Czech Republic. In my thesis I describe the most important concepts, terms and areas connected with the gen-der problems, personal management and the Police of the Czech Republic. The thesis dis-plays gender issue focused particularly on the position of women inservice. The main goal is to find if, according to the opinion of the policemen and policewomen themselves, the gender influences the working position of the Police of the Czech Republic employees ? district Břeclav. The practical part of my research investigates primarily the differences of the policemens and policewomens opinions on recruitment, rewarding and promotion of women and men to managing position in the territorial department of the Police of the Czech Republic ? district Břeclav. The research i salso concentrated on discrimination of women.
