Parental views on speech of their preschool children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá pohledy rodičů na mluvní projevy předškolních dětí. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem jsou předškolní děti vedeny svými rodiči k správnému mluvnímu projevu. V této souvislosti je v práci také položena otázka, zda rodiče vidí mateřskou školu jako nápomocnou pro správný rozvoj řeči jejich dětí nebo nikoliv. Bakalářská práce obsahuje 4 kapitoly, teoretická část je rozdělena na 3 kapitoly, čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje praktickému výzkumu. První kapitola se zabývá charakteristikou předškolního období, specifikami a potřebami dětí v předškolním věku. Druhá kapitola se věnuje komunikaci dětí v předškolním věku, popisuje komunikační kompetence předškolních dětí a jejich rozvoj a také popisuje charakteristické obtíže intaktních dětí v komunikaci. Třetí kapitola se zabývá rodinným prostředím a také rolí mateřské školy v životě dítěte a popisuje logopedickou prevenci v mateřských školách. Čtvrtá kapitola popsuje cíle a metodiku výzkumného šetření. Výzkum má kvalitativní charakter, byly zpracovány případové studie dětí předškolního věku a provedeny polostrukturované rozhovory s jejich rodiči. Z výsledků výzkumu bylo zjištěno, že rodiče si jsou vědomi obtížemi v komunikaci svých dětí a snaží se na nich pracovat především společným čtením, opravováním a správným mluvním vzorem. Mateřskou školu nevnímají jako klíčovou pro rozvoj komunikace jejich dětí, ale jako instituci, která pomáhá rozvoji všech oblastí předškolního dítěte a jako vhodnou přípravu pro školní docházku.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with parental views on speech of their preschool children. The aim of this work was to find out how parents care about speech of their preschool children. In this context, the thesis also asks whether or not parents think that kindergarten is helpful for the proper development of their children's speech. The bachelor thesis contains 4 chapters, the theoretical part is divided into 3 chapters, the fourth chapter describes practical research. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of preschool age, specifics and needs of preschool children. The second chapter deals with the communication of preschool children, describes the communication skills of preschool children and their development and also describes the characteristic difficulties of intact children in communication. The third chapter deals with family care and with the role of kindergarten in the life of the child and describes the speech prevention in kindergartens. The fourth chapter describes the goals and methodology of the research survey. The research is of a qualitative nature, case studies of preschool children were elaborated and semi-structured interviews with their parents were carried out. It was found out from the research results that parents are aware of the difficulties in communicating their children and try to work with them primarily by reading, correcting and speaking correctly. They do not perceive the kindergarten as a main way to develope their children's communication, but as an institution that helps develop all areas of the preschool child and as a good preparation for school.
