The accounts of the Horní Štěpanice parish in the 18th century

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zádušní hospodaření farnosti Horní Štěpanice v Krkonoších v 18. století. Základním zdrojem informací byly zádušní počty z let 1710–1782, které jsou v současnosti uloženy ve Státním oblastním archivu v Zámrsku. Díky tomuto archivnímu materiálu byly získány údaje, které pomohly přiblížit ekonomickou situaci farnosti a její vývoj ve sledovaném období. První kapitoly jsou věnovány vzniku a rozvoji panství, důraz je kladen na události po třicetileté válce, náboženskou a hospodářskou situaci. Poté je popsán chod farnosti, úlohy a postavení farářů, kostelníků a kantorů. Po teoretických pasážích následuje rozbor údajů získaných z archivních materiálů, rozdělení do kapitol věnovaných příjmům a výdajům. V rámci nich je také představen inventář kostelního movitého majetku. Příjmy byly pro potřeby práce rozděleny do tří kategorií (výnos ze zádušního majetku, zbožné dary a odkazy, vlastní podnikatelská činnost), výdaje pak do čtyř (platy farářů, kantorů a dalších pomocníků, nákupy potřeb pro liturgický provoz a předmětů denní potřeby, mzdy řemeslníků, ostatní výdaje). Závěr obsahuje shrnutí uvedených poznatků a jejich zařazení do celistvějšího rámce. Diplomová práce přibližuje prostřednictvím sondy chod konkrétní farnosti v období baroka a zařazuje jej do kontextu náboženského, společenského a hospodářského.

Abstract:

This thesis is aimed at managing funds of the Horní Štěpanice parish (Krkonoše) in the 18th century. Basic sources of information were parish accounts from 1710 to 1782 presently deposited in State Regional Archive in Zámrsk. Thanks to this archive material there were gained data describing economic situation of the parish and its development in the observing period. First chapters are dedicated to dominion‘s establishment and expanse, events after the ending of Thirty Year War, religious and economic situation. Afterwards there are described functioning of the parish, tasks and status of parish priest, sexton and schoolmaster. After these theoretical passages analysis of revenue and expenditure of the parish follows. There is also described inventory of the parish property. The revenue was classified to three categories (revenue from the parish property, donations and bequests, parish entrepreneurship) and the expenditure to four categories (wages of parish priests, sextons and schoolmasters, buying liturgical and everyday items, wages of craftsmen and other expenditure). The thesis conclusion contains summarization of research findings and incorporates them into the religious, social and economic context of baroque period.
