Psychological aspects of early postnatal care

Abstract:

Tématem této práce jsou psychologické aspekty rané poporodní péče. Teoretická část je rozčleněna do 6 kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje psychologickým aspektům brzkého kontaktu matky s dítětem po porodu. Druhá kapitola se věnuje vlivu hormonů a jejich důležitostí na vytvoření vztahu/vazby mezi matkou a jejím dítětem. Třetí kapitola se věnuje přímo vymezení pojmu bonding, věnuje se jeho historii i současnému přístupu v našem porodnictví. Čtvrtá kapitola teoretické části se zaměřuje na dopady porodu na matku a dítě. Věnuje se podpoře bondingu u dítěte narozeného s určitým postižením, mrtvě narozeného, předčasně narozeného, narozeného císařským řezem. Kapitola pátá se věnuje vlivu doprovázejících osob na podporu časného kontaktu matky s dítětem. Závěrečná kapitola teoretické části se zaměřuje na negativní psychologické jevy, které mohou ženu po porodu postihnout. V praktické části se věnuji zpracování jednotlivých kazuistik vypracovaných po semistrukturovaných rozhovorech, které byly zaměřeny na zjištění všeobecných představ prvorodiček před porodem a studentek vysokých škol o porodu, a zjištění skutečného průběhu porodu a zážitků rodiček po jejich porodu. Rozhovoru se zúčastnilo celkem 30 dotazovaných žen. 10 studentek VŠ bez zkušenosti s těhotenstvím a porodem, 10 dotazovaných bylo před svým porodem a 10 dotazovaných po porodu (šlo o prvorodičky).

Abstract:

The thesis deals with psychological aspects of early postnatal care. Theoretical part is divided into six chapters. The first chapter focuses on psychological aspects of early contact between mother and child after birth. The second chapter deals with the influence of hormones and their significance concerning formation of relationship/bond between mother and her child. The third chapter is directly devoted to determination of the term ?bonding?, it deals with its history and also contemporary attitude to it in our obstetrics. The fourth chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the impact of the birth on both mother and child. It deals with the support of bonding concerning children born with a specific kind of disability, stillborn children, premature babies and children born by Caesarean section. The fifth chapter deals with the influence of accompanying people on the support of the early contact of mother and child. The concluding chapter of the theoretical part focuses on negative psychological phenomena which can affect women after giving birth. In the practical part I deal with processing individual case histories worked out after semi-structured interviews which were focused on finding out general ideas of primiparas before giving birth and female university students of the birth and finding out the real course of birth and experiences of mothers after giving birth. Altogether thirty female respondents took part in the interview. Ten female university students without experience with pregnancy and childbirth, ten female respondents were shortly before childbirth and ten respondents after childbirth (they were primiparas).
