Intergenerational learning in the family firm

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem mezigeneračního učení v rodinné firmě. Hlavním cílem práce je popsat a analyzovat podobu mezigeneračního učení v tomto specifickém prostředí, konkrétně byl zkoumán obsah, směry, způsoby a faktory ovlivňující toto učení. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část se soustředila na vymezení stěžejních pojmů- rodinná firma, mezigenerační vztahy a mezigenerační učení, přičemž objasnila také jejich kontext. Na teoretickou navazuje část empirická, která se věnuje analýze výsledků výzkumného šetření a jejich interpretaci. Rovněž zde byl popsán metodologický potup výzkumu. Jako výzkumný design byla použita případová studie jedné rodinné firmy, metoda sběru dat potom spočívala v provedení polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se zástupci jednotlivých generací, a to jak rodinných, tak jednoho nerodinného zaměstnance. Výsledky výzkumného šetření ukázaly mezigenerační učení v rodinné firmě jako dynamický proces, který není ohraničen časem ani prostředím a je do zásadní míry ovlivněn profesí rodinné firmy a vztahy v rodině.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of an intergenerational learning in the family firm. The main goal of this work is to describe and analyze the form of intergenerational learning in this specific environment, there has been specifically studied the contents, directions, methods, and factors influencing the learning. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focused on defining key terms - family firm, intergenerational relationships and intergenerational learning , together with the context. The theory is followed by empirical part which deals with analysis of research results and their interpretation. Also there si described a methodological approach of the research. As a research design was used a case study of a family firm , method of data collection consisted of the design of semi-structured interviews with representatives of different generations , both family and one non-family employees . The results of the survey showed intergenerational learning in the family firm as a dynamic process that is not bounded by time and environment and it´s fundamentally influenced by professions of the firm and family relationships.
