Analysis of financing of National Heritage Institute

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je na základě teoretických poznatků o fungování státních příspěvkových organizací zanalyzovat a zhodnotit financování konkrétní organizace - Národního památkového ústavu. Z výsledků analýzy pak vyplynuly doporučení a návrhy ke zlepšení financování a činnosti NPÚ. Teoretická část práce se skládá z vymezení státních příspěvkových organizací, jejich legislativy a zařazení v rámci neziskového sektoru a analýzy možností financování státních příspěvkových organizací. Praktická část práce obsahuje představení Národního památkového ústavu, SWOT analýzu a rozbor hospodaření s důrazem na výnosy, náklady a rozpočet za roky 2006-2009. Součástí analýzy hospodaření je i finanční analýza s přihlédnutím k tomu, že zkoumaná organizace je neziskový subjekt. Po zhodnocení efektivity financování z provedených analýz následují návrhy na zlepšení financování především v oblasti získávání zdrojů z Evropské Unie a v oblasti darů a další doporučení na zefektivnění činnosti Národního památkového ústavu. Uvedené návrhy a doporučení mohou být pro organizaci podnětná, proto bude diplomová práce předložena jejímu vedení.

Abstract:

The aim of my diploma thesis is the analysis and evaluation of financing the particular organization - the National Heritage Institute - on the basis of theoretical information about the operation of state contributory organizations. Recommendations and suggestions to improve financing and activities of the National Heritage Institute resulted from the analysis. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis consists of the definition of state contributory organizations, their legislature and classification within the nonprofit sector and the analysis of financing possibilities of these organizations. The practical (applied) part contains the introduction of the National Heritage Institute, the SWOT analysis and the analysis of management emphasising returns, expenses and the budget for years 2006-2009. The financial analysis with regard to the fact that the analysed organization is a nonprofit subject is also a part of the management analysis. After the evaluation of financing efficiency from analyses that were made, suggestions for the improvement of financing follow, mainly in the field of obtaining sources from the European Union and in the field of donations and other recommendations for streamlining the activity of the National Heritage Institute. Introduced suggestions and recommendations might be incentive for the organization, therefore my diploma thesis will be presented to its headquarters.
