The problems of ukrainian labor migration to the CR

Abstract:

Absolventská práce se zabývá problematikou mezinárodní migrace. Rozebrala jsem ekonomické, kulturní, populační i sociální důsledky, které tento společenský jev přináší. Zmiňuji hlavní tendence migračních pohybů z pohledu geografického, globalizace a transformace států. Problematická a složitá historie ukrajinské emigrace a sociálně ekonomické podmínky, ve kterých Ukrajinci v domovině dosud žijí, mají za následek početnou emigraci. V současnosti jde převážně o migraci pracovně – cirkulační. Na nepříznivou situaci migrantů se snaží reagovat politiky obou států a společně s řešení aktuální problémy a přizpůsobují svou legislativu. Práce se zabývá teoretickým i praktickým šetřením životních podmínek, které jsou Ukrajincům u nás poskytovány. Zjišťuje, do jaké sociální skupiny jsou u nás ukrajinští emigranti začleněni, jaké jsou jejich priority, a jsou-li v České republice spokojeni.

Abstract:

The graduate thesis is dealing with the issue of international migration. I have analyzed the economical, cultural, social and population impacts, which this social phenomenon carries. I mention the main tendencies of migration flows from the geographical, globalization and state transformation view. Problematic and complicated history of Ukraine emigration and socioeconomic conditions, which the Ukrainians still live in in their homeland, result in wide emigration. Nowadays it is mostly a “job-circulation” migration. The governments of both countries are trying to react to the unfavorable situation of the migrants and together, with the solutions of present issues, they adjust their legislatives. The thesis is dealing with both theoretical and practical methods of preservation of the life standards provided to the Ukrainians in the Czech Republic. It ascertains which social group are the Ukrainian emigrants incorporated in, what are their priorities, and whether they are satisfied in the Czech Republic.
