Abstract:

Práce s názvem Barva a kultura se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Praktická část bakalářské práce představuje sérii čtyř vlajek z různých světových kontinentů. Konkrétně se jedná o vlajku Nigérie, Hondurasu, Švýcarska a Číny. Tyto vlajky prošly barevnou obměnou, která se váže na jejich kulturní vnímání barev vzhledem k zásadním životním událostem (smutek vs. radost). Látkové formáty velkých rozměrů vždy vycházejí z reálných předloh. Doprovodná teoretická část se zabývá pojmem kultura a jejím vztahem k barvám. Dále popisuje, jak se liší vnímání barev v rámci různých náboženství. Barva a kultura tvoří základ lidské společnosti a bez jejich pestrých odlišností by byl svět příliš ponurý. Tahle myšlenka utváří jádro celé této práce. Pohlíží na kulturní rozdíly z jiné perspektivy a poukazuje na to, že ať už jsou kultury jakkoli různorodé, vždy se pod nimi skrývá stejná podstata.

Abstract:

The thesis named Colour and culture consists of theoretical and practical part. The practical part of thesis introduces the set of four flags from different continents. Concretely it deals with the flags of Nigeria, Honduras, Switzerland and China. These flags underwent a colour modification which is connected to its perception of colours with regard to basic life events (sadness vs. joy). Fabric big size formats are always derived from real templates. Accompanying theoretical part deals with the concept of culture and its link to colours. It also describes the differences in colour perception within various religions. Colour and culture make the basis of human society and without colourful differences the world would be too gloomy. This idea is the core of the whole thesis. It considers the culture differences from another perspective and points out to the fact that no matter how different cultures are, there is always the same essence in all of them.
