The bachelor thesis deals with Heinrich Böll, the famous German novelist and the Nobel Prize holder. The first part focuses on the life of the writer, his work and the context of women characters in his novels. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá významným německým spisovatelem a nositelem Nobelovy ceny Heinrichem Böllem. Úvod práce se týká života tohoto spisovatele, jeho tvorby a ženských postav v této tvorbě. Práce je zaměřena na analýzu, charakteristiku a porovnání ženských postav především z jeho posledního románu „Ženy v krajině s řekou“ z roku 1985.
