The role of mayors in municipalities within 2 000 inhabitants

Abstract:

Tato práce se věnuje politice obcí na obecné úrovni a dále politice venkovských obcí, neboli obcí s počtem obyvatel do 2 000, které tvoří z celkového počtu v České republice 90 %. Cílem práce je zachycení a přiblížení podoby lokální politiky v těchto obcích. Práce slouží jako přehledná publikace zaměřující se na pravomoc a postavení starostů venkovských obcí, jakožto jednočlenného orgánu obce a dále na jeho fungování ve vztahu k zastupitelstvu a radě obce. V praktické části se práce věnuje obci Červenka na Olomoucku, kde ke studiu obce byl použit obecní zpravodaj, obecní vyhlášky a kronika obce.

Abstract:

This work deals with the politics of municipalities at a general level and also with the politics of rural municipalities, i.e. municipalities with a population of up to 2 000, which makes up 90 % of the total number in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to capture and approximate the form of local politics in these municipalities. The work serves as a clear publication focusing on the authority and position if the mayors of rural municipalities, as a one-member municipal body, and further on its functioning in relation to the municipal council. In the practical part, the work is devoted to the village Červenka in Olomouc, where the municipal newsletter, municipal decree and the chronicle of the municipality were used to study the municipality.
