Two fathers with child: Female role model during upbringing in a gay family

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Dva otcové s dítětem: ženský vzor při výchově v gay rodině“ je teoreticko-empirického charakteru. Zabývá se ženským vzorem v gay rodinách očima mužských homosexuálních párů. Cílem této práce je prozkoumat, jak mužské homosexuální páry vychovávají dítě smýšlí nad zapojením ženského vzoru do výchovy. Teoretická část se věnuje popisu vzniku a infrastruktury gay rodin v kontrastu s tradičním modelem. Spolu s tím obsahuje vymezení rodičovských vzorů a jejich důležitosti. Nakonec pak rozebírá ženský vzor v gay rodině. Práce zahrnuje kvalitativní výzkum, který je uveden v empirické části. Ta se skládá z podrobného popisu postupů spolu s výzkumnými nástroji, na které navazuje interpretace dat získaných pomocí analýzy hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Výsledky analýzy dat jsou na konci empirické části diskutovány s teoretickými poznatky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis entitled „Two fathers with child: female role model during upbringing in a gay family“ is of theoretical–empirical nature. It focuses on the theme of female role model in gay families through the perspective of male homosexual couples. The thesis attemps to explore how gay couples who are raising a child think about involving a female role model into a childs upbringing. The theoretical section describes the creation of gay families together with their infrastructure in contrast with a traditional family form. It also includes defining parental role models and their importance. The end of this section discusses a female role model in a gay family. The diploma thesis involves a qualitative research, which is placed in the empirical section. Detailed descriptions of the approach and research tools are located there. The data interpretation conducted by analysis of in-depth semi-structured interview follows and ends this section. Results of the data analysis are discussed with theoretical findings at the end of the empirical section.
