Living wage, consumer basket and their link to social benefits in Trutnov district in 2020-2022

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma životního minima, spotřebitelského koše a jejich spojitosti se sociálními dávkami pomoci v hmotné nouzi v okrese Trutnov v letech 2020 až 2022. Pozornost je zaměřena jak na existenční a životní minimum, tak i jednotlivé dávky sociální pomoci, které jsou poskytovány osobám nacházejícím se v hmotné nouzi. Seznamuje také s pojmy jako jsou chudoba, minimální mzda, materiální a příjmová deprivace. Praktická část je zaměřena na výzkum pomocí dotazníkového šetření na Úřadu práce ČR, kontaktní pracoviště v Trutnově u občanů pobírajících sociální dávky v systému hmotné nouze. Analyzuje také návaznost spotřebitelského koše a sociálních dávek. V práci je provedena komparace výdajů modelových skupin osob, které pobírají dávky hmotné nouze a návrh na zefektivnění systému dávek sociální pomoci. Výzkumem bylo zjištěno, že náklady respondentů jsou dle zkoumaných skupin nižší, než je celorepublikový průměr, a to od nepatrného rozdílů až po markantní rozdíly, což může být způsobeno regionální diferenciací.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of the subsistence minimum, the consumer basket and their connection with social assistance benefits in material need in the Trutnov district in the years 2020 to 2022. The focus is on the subsistence and living minimum, as well as individual social assistance benefits that are provided to persons in material need. It also introduces concepts such as poverty, minimum wage, material and income deprivation. The practical part is focused on research using a questionnaire survey at the Labour Office of the Czech Republic, contact point in Trutnov among citizens receiving social benefits in the system of material need. It also analyses the continuity of the consumer basket and social benefits. The paper compares the expenditures of model groups of people receiving benefits in material need and proposes a streamlining of the social assistance benefits system. The research found that the costs of respondents are lower than the national average according to the groups surveyed, ranging from slight differences to significant differences, which is due to regional differentiation.
