Enhancing the energy efficiency promotion policies with the influention techniques

Abstract:

Cílem výzkumu je navrhnout způsob aplikace behaviorálních poznatků a specificky influenčních fenoménů, ke zvyšování energetické efektivity v České republice. Práce proto uvozuje výzkum v individuálním rozhodování a ovlivňování rozhodovacího procesu do problematiky vnitřního vynucování sociálních norem. Těchto norem lze při aplikaci influenčních fenoménu využít k přesvědčení jednotlivců a vynucení souhlasu, což ukazuje druhá část teoretického výzkumu. Následně je provedena kvalitativní studie napříč evropskými programy ke zvyšování energetické efektivity. V těchto programech jsou komentovány způsoby designu, komunikace se zákazníkem a způsoby přesvědčování vedoucí ke změně chování. Programy jsou zároveň vylepšeny pomocí influence. Hlavním výstupem textu je zhodnocení možnosti využití influence a doporučení konkrétních kroků k jejímu zavedení do systému zvyšování energetické efektivity v ČR.

Abstract:

Goal of the thesis is to come up with a way to use behavioral insights, and influence phenomena, towards increasing energy efficiency in the Czech Republic. For this reason, thesis sets research in the individual decision making and in manipulation of this proces, into the field of internal compliance with the social norms. These norms can be afterwards used with influence phenomena to persuade individuals to comply with our requests. This is explored in the second theoretical part. Following up, an analytical part presents a conducted qualitative analysis of the chosen European energy efficiency programmes. Author analyzes their design, the way they communicate and also how are they trying to persuade individuals to change their behavior. After that, they are enhanced with the influence phenomena to be more persuasive. In the final part, author evaluates the possibity of using the influence in the Czech Republic to increase energy efficiency and designs nescessary steps to be taken.
