Abstract:
This Bachelor's thesis deals with the reworking of Francis Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby (1925) into film adaptations from 1974 and 2013 by Jack Clayton and Baz Luhrmann. The aim is to compare the various aspects of the novel with both films and their shooting techniques. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá přepracováním románu Francise Scotta Fitzgeralda Velký Gatsby (1925) do jeho filmových adaptací z let 1974 a 2013 režisérů Jacka Claytona a Baze Luhrmanna s cílem srovnat jednotlivé aspekty románu a obou filmů a jejich natáčecí techniky.
