Abstract:

Práce pojednává o saharském nomádském kmeni Tuaregů, téma je pojato jako průřez moderní historií kmene, zaměřený především na podstatu a původ vzniku konfliktů. Kořeny současných problémů sahají až do koloniální éry, kdy také vypukla první protikoloniální povstání. Po rozdělení Sahary mezi nově vzniklé státy po roce 1960, je situace nejkritičtější ve státech Mali a Niger, kde žije největší část Tuaregů. Právě historie povstání v těchto státech a průběh mírových jednání je hlavním motivem práce.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a Saharan nomadic tribe, the Tuaregs. The theme is conceived as a cross-section of it's modern history, focused primarily on the nature and origins of the conflicts. The roots of the current problems are in the colonial era, when the first anti-colonial uprisings broke out. After the partition of the Sahara between the newly created states after 1960, the situation is most critical in Mali and Niger, where most of the Tuaregs live. History of rebellions in these countries and the progress of peace negotiations are the main themes of thesis.
