The play Las cartas de Mozart (1974) is one of the most important works by the Mexican writer Emilio Carballido. Its plot excels not only in the thematic synthesis of the real and fantastic world, but above all in its work with symbols and motifs referring to the life and work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
