Economic analysis of using modern technologies in the terms of concept of "Smart cities" in selected European cities in 2018

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá ekonomickou analýzou využití moderních technologií v rámci konceptu smart cities ve vybraných evropských městech. Podrobně se věnujememěstu Kolín. Celá problematika není spojena pouze s nabídkou služeb občanům, ale s jejich vyšší úrovní a kvalitou. Pro vedení města, tedy i Kolína je sice nákladem, ale v budoucnosti a při komplexním pojetí může přinést i úspory, jak ukazuje zahraniční praxe. Z metod byly využity literární rešerše, dotazníkové šetření a SWOT analýza. Zdrojem dat byly zahraniční i tuzemské odborné články, tisk, interview s místostarostou města a dotazníkové šetření. Zjištěné skutečnosti ústí ve vlastní pojetí smart cities a následně jsou charakterizovány i jednotlivé ukazatele. Ze zkoumaných možností financování je patrné, že Kolín využívá pouze omezených metod. Vícezdrojové financování je opomíjeno. Rovněž je vidět, že kolínská realita opomíjí občanskouspoluúčast. Jednotný koncept zavádění chytrých prvků není, ale ani nemůže být jednotný, protože startovací podmínky v jednotlivých městech jsou různorodé. Individualizovanýpřístup je nutný, aby nedošlo k plýtvání finančními zdroji.

Abstract:

The Bachelor Thesis deals with a topic of economic analysis of utilisation of modern technologies in terms of smart city concept in selected European cities, with the city Kolín in detail. The whole issue is not considered only with regard to the offer of services to city's inhabitants, but also to the quality and grade of services. Not only is this an expenditure for the management of city, but also a savings measure in the future, if approached correctly, as shown by foreign experience. Methods used are research in literature, survey of city's inhabitants and SWOT analysis. The sources of data are foreign and local expert articles, press, interview with vice-mayor of city of Kolín and a survey. The identified facts present an own smart city concept and later on also the individual indicators of these facts are presented. From examining financial options it is apparent, that Kolín is using only limited methods of financing. Multi-source financing is omitted. The concept used in Kolín does not use participation of its inahabitants at the same time. Unified concept of implementing smart city features is not possible, because of the initial conditions being widely different in each city. Individual concept is necessary, for the sake of not wasting financial sources.
