Value orientations of the elderly in Ostravian area

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na oblast hodnotové orientace seniorů na Ostravsku. Klade si za cíl identifikovat a analyzovat hodnotovou orientaci seniorů na Ostravsku v kontextu sociální práce. Pokusí se zjistit jaké jsou hodnotové orientace seniorů na Ostravsku a popíše, jakým způsobem senioři reflektují své hodnoty a proměny hodnot ve stáří. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje vymezení hodnot a hodnotových orientací a popis období stáří a jeho specifické jevy. Výzkumná část se zaměřuje na interpretaci a analýzu hodnotových orientací seniorů pobývající na území Ostravska se zaměřením pro využití výsledků výzkumu v oblasti sociální práce.

Abstract:

Thesis focuses on the area of value orientation of seniors in the Ostrava region. It is aimed at identifying and analysing the value orientation of seniors in the Ostrava region in the context of social work. The author will try to find out what are the value orientations of seniors in Ostrava. Moreover, she will attempt to describe how seniors reflect their values and changes in values in the old age. The theoretical part of the work includes the definition of values and value orientations as well as a description of the elderly period and its specific phenomena. The research part focuses on the interpretation and analysis of the value orientations of seniors residing in the area of the Ostrava region including an application of the research results in the field of social work.
