Integration of foreign language children into kindergarten

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Integrace cizojazyčných dětí do MŠ se zabývá problematikou zařazení cizojazyčného dítěte do předškolního zařízení v České republice. V teoretické části je věnována pozornost řeči (tedy mateřskému jazyku) a jejímu vývoji, a to z hlediska vývoje hlasu, ontogeneze řeči, vlastního vývoje řeči včetně opožděného vývoje řeči. Následuje téma komunikace (verbální, neverbální, alternativní) a také téma efektivní a neefektivní komunikace. V další části je popsána komunikace v předškolním vzdělávání (komunikativní kompetence) a také profesní kompetence učitele mateřské školy. Důležitým pojmem práce, vzhledem ke zkoumanému tématu, je bilingvismus, jeho pozitiva a negativa. Praktická část má formu případové studie dítěte s odlišným mateřským jazykem vzdělávajícím se v české mateřské škole. Studie je realizována formou zúčastněného pozorování, nepřímého pozorování ve formě přepisu videozáznamů a také obsahuje dva hloubkové rozhovory s vedoucí učitelkou.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis “Integration of foreign language children into kindergarten” deals with problems of inclusion of foreign language children in preschool facilities in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, attention is paid to speech (that is, the mother tongue) and its development, in aspect of voice development, speech ontogenesis, the actual development of speech including delayed speech development. This is followed by the topic of communication (verbal, non-verbal, alternative) and also the topic of effective and noneffective communication. The next part describes communication in pre-school education and Kindergartens Teacher´s Quality Standards. An important term of work, considering the topic of my thesis, is bilingualism, its positives and negatives. The practical part takes the form of a case study of a child with a different mother tongue educated in a Czech kindergarten. The study takes the form of participant observation, indirect observation in the form of transcription of video recordings and also includes two in-depth interviews with the head teacher.
