The Possibilities of Cooperation among Primary Schools and Police of Czech Republic in Community Policing

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce, je vyhodnotit možnosti realizace programů v rámci Community policing na základních školách a postavení policie u žáků 2. stupně základních škol. Diplomová práce by měla zjišťovat, jakým způsobem a zda vůbec probíhá spolupráce Policie ČR a základních škol v lokalitách Prahy 8 a zda je taková spolupráce vzhledem k přístupu žáků, pedagogů a policistů možná. Teoretická část práce popisuje filozofii Community policing a některé vybrané výchovné problémy žáků základných škol, v kterých je možnost a někdy nutnost zapojení policie. Výzkumná část práce je zaměřena na žáky druhého stupně základních škol, učitele druhého stupně základních škol a policisty, to vše v lokalitách Prahy 8. Prostřednictvím dotazníků zjišťuje a porovnává znalosti policistů a učitelů v dané problematice a jejich postoje k ní. Dále postoj žáků k Policii ČR jako autoritě a tím daný důraz na působení programů Policie ČR v rámci Community policing a preventivní aktivity.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of running programs under the Community Policing in primary schools and police position with respect to pupils who attend 2nd primary schools. The thesis should examine how and whether cooperation between Police Czech Republic and primary schools exists in Prague 8, and whether such cooperation regarding the attitude of pupils, teachers and police officers, is even possible. The theoretical part describes the philosophy of Community Policing and some selected educational students´ problems in basic school, where there is a possibility of and sometimes a necessity for police involvement. The research part is aimed at pupils who attend 2nd primary schools, their teachers and police officers, from Prague 8. The questionnaires help to identify and compare police officers? and teachers´ knowledge on the issue and their attitude towards it. Furthermore, the attitude of pupils to the Police as an authority and thus the emphasis on the intervention of police programs in the framework of Community Policing and prevention activities.
