Toponymy of Slezská Ostrava

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o vývoji standardizované urbanonymie městského obvodu Slezská Ostrava, a to konkrétně částí Heřmanice, Muglinov a samotné Slezské Ostravy, od počátku 20. století až do roku 2016. Snaží se vymezit nejen základní termíny stěžejní pro toponomastiku obecně, ale i pro její specifickou třídu - urbanonymii, a také charakterizovat zkoumanou lokalitu. Druhá část práce se soustřeďuje právě na standardizovaná urbanonyma všech výše zmíněných částí aktuálních pro rok 2016. Cílem práce je určit zastoupení obsahově-sémantických motivů u uličních názvů.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the development of the standardized urbanonymy of the town district Slezská Ostrava, especially of the parts Heřmanice, Muglinov and Slezská Ostrava itself. It pursues the development of urbanonyms from the beginning of the 20th century to the year 2016 and also tries to define not only basic terms occurring in toponomastics, but also in its specific sphere - urbanonymy. The thesis characterizes the particular area, too. However, the second part of the thesis is focused on standardized urbanonyms of these three districts of the town of Ostrava actual for the year 2016. The main aim is to ascertain the representation of the semantic motives of these urbanonyms.
