Russian financial crisis and sectoral balance sheets

Abstract:

V letech 2014 a 2015 čelilo Rusko vážným ekonomickým výzvám, týkajících se zejména hospodářského poklesu, rychlého oslabení rublu, západních sankcí a kolapsu důvěry. V kontextu hospodářských krizí, kterými Rusko prošlo v předchozích dvou desetiletích, si nyní ekonomika vedla poměrně dobře. Cílem této bakalářské práce je prostřednictvím analýzy finančních účtů jednotlivých sektorů ruské ekonomiky identifikovat její hlavní strukturální charakteristiky a jejich prostřednictvím poukázat na silné a slabé stránky této ekonomiky. Práce dochází k závěru, že stavy hlavních bilančních položek byly uspokojivé, což přispělo k tomu, že navzdory uvedeným výzvám neměla ruská ekonomika jako celek významnější finanční a dluhové problémy.

Abstract:

Russia was facing serious economic challenges in 2014 and 2015, including the economic downturn, rapid depreciation of the ruble, western sanctions and a collapse in confidence. In the context of economic crisises, which Russia went through in the last two decades, that once economy did realitively well. The aim of this thesis is to gain an in-depth understanding of Russian finances using the balance sheet approach. The thesis concludes that the main balance sheet items were satisfactory, which contributed to the fact that despite all challenges, the Russian economy as a whole did not have any major financial and debt problems.
