The Portrait of Woman in the Interwar Prose: Lilika Naku - Parastratimeni

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se snažím představit obraz ženy v meziválečné próze. Nejprve se soustředím na to, jakým způsobem vykreslují ženské postavy ve svých románech muži − spisovatelé. Všímám si, jestli je jejich prezentace ženství tradiční, tedy vycházející ze stále stejných vzorců, nebo jestli se snaží o nové a nezaujaté ztvárnění svých hrdinek. Poté se věnuji tvorbě ženských autorek, u kterých nastiňuji témata, kterými se v meziválečných letech nejčastěji zabývaly. Jednou z nejvýraznějších a nejpokrokovějších literátek své doby byla Lilika Naku, která jako jedna z prvních vnesla do literatury nová, revoluční témata. V jejích románech můžeme sledovat odlišné ženské charaktery, které vybočují ze stereotypního pojetí a představují nové ženské „já“, kterému se věnuji během své analýzy jejího prvního románu Parastratimeni. Všímám si také jednotlivých motivů a témat, které se v knize objevují, z nichž některé představovaly do té doby v literatuře tabu.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I try to introduce the portrait of woman in the interwar prose. First I am going to focus on the way how the man – writers describe the women’s charakters in their novels. I notice if their presentation of feminity is traditional, e. g. coming from the same standards – or they are trying hard for a new and unconcerned characterization of their heroines. Then I follow the women’s authors and their creation, outlining the themes which they were concerning themselves most often during the interwar period. Lilika Naku who – as one of the first authors – has brought the new revolutionary themes to the literature – was one of the most progressive and most expressive author. In her novels we can follow the different woman’s characters what are out of stereotype conception, introducing to us the new, woman „I“ which I am going in for my analysis of her first novel Parastratimeni. I also notice the particular motives and themes that appear in the book – some of them have been taboo in the literature till that time.
