Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the automotive market in the Czech Republic with the focus on Porsche Česká republika s.r.o.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá dopady pandemie COVID-19 na automobilový trh v České republice se zaměřením na společnost Porsche Česká republika s.r.o. Cílem práce je odhalení dopadů pandemie a identifikace přijatých opatření společností. Zároveň tato práce zkoumá dopad na trh finančních služeb propojených s automobilovým trhem. Přínos práce spočívá v identifikaci dopadů a opatření, které mohou sloužit jako případný podklad pro analýzu opatření v případě opakování podobné krize v budoucnu. Metodologií této práce je finanční analýza společnosti Porsche Česká republika s.r.o. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. Teoretická část vymezuje základní charakteristiky automobilového průmyslu, dodavatelského řetězce, role importéra, finančního trhu, použité metodologie a zkoumá chování firem a spotřebitelů v krizi. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu přijatých opatření a finanční analýzu vybrané společnosti, zabývá se vývojem prodeje jednotlivých značek a zkoumá změny na trhu finančních služeb. Závěrečná část je věnována finálnímu zhodnocení a komentáři.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the automotive market in the Czech Republic with a focus on the company Porsche Česká republika s.r.o. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the impact of the pandemic and to identify the measures taken by the company. At the same time, this thesis examines the impact on the financial services market linked to the automotive market. The contribution of the thesis is the identification of impacts and measures that can serve as a possible basis for the analysis of measures in case of a recurrence of a similar crisis in the future. The methodology of this thesis is the financial analysis of Porsche Česká republika s.r.o. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part defines the basic characteristics of the automotive industry, the supply chain, the role of the importer, the financial market, the methodology and examines the behaviour of firms and consumers in the crisis. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the taken measures and the financial analysis of the selected company, deals with the development of sales of individual brands, and examines changes in the financial services market. The final part is devoted to the final evaluation and comment.
