Securitization of the Arctic: U.S. Securitizing Actors and Their Strategies

Securitization of the Arctic: U.S. Securitizing Actors and Their Strategies
Abstract:
Abstract:
Certain issue is not becoming a security matter because there is a real existential threat, but because the issue is presented by the specific actor as a threat through the process of securitization. The thesis identifies key U.S. securitizing actors in the Arctic. It further provides the analysis and typology of their securitization strategies.
