Abstract:
This thesis focuses on iron sulfur (Fe-S) cluster biogenesis by the ISC machinery in the mitochondrion of Trypanosoma brucei. Most of proteins in the pathway show conserved functions, while some features are distinct from their counterparts in other organisms.
