Business and cultural customs of Hawaiian Islands

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat obchodní a kulturní zvláštnosti Havajských ostrovů na základě informací a dostupné literatury, kterou jsem získala, když jsem ostrovy navštívila. Na Havaji najdete spoustu unikátních zvyků, které jsou pravdivým odrazem soužití mnoha různých etnických skupin a kultur. Způsob života byl na ostrovech uchováván po staletí. První část mé práce shrnuje historické, politické, geografické a další obecné údaje o zemi. Druhá část práce se týká kulturních specifik Havaje. Poslední část specifikuje obchodní zvláštnosti ostrovů, kde je klíčovou kapitolou obchodní jednání s Havajany.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze business and cultural customs in Hawaii, based on information and available literature which I was able to get when I visited the Hawaiian Islands in person. Hawaii has many unique customs that are a true reflection on how the variety of ethnicities and cultural practices cohabitate together. The way of life there has been preserved over many centuries. The first part of the thesis describes geographical, historical, political and other basic specifications of the country. The second part concerns typical cultural customs of Hawai'i. The last part of my thesis specifies business customs of Hawaiian Islands and the key chapter examines the Business Dealings with Hawaiians.
