Strigolaktony jsou přírodní látky schopné indukovat různé účinky na vývoj rostlin. Gen DRM1 ja znám jako negativní regulátor růstu axilárních pupenů, ale někteří autoři usuzují, že mají také jiné role. V této práci byl zkoumán vliv strigolaktonu na vývoj kořenů a expresi genu DRM1 u rostlin Arabidopsis thaliana. Strigolactones are biological compounds capable to induce several effects in plant development. DRM1 gene is mostly known to be a negative regulator of axillary bud outgrowth, however, there are authors that suggest it may also have different roles.
