Tato práce obsahuje anglicko-český překlad kapitoly z Harryho Pottera a kamene mudrců od J.K. Rowlingové, který tvoří část praktickou. Teoretická část se věnuje zejména postupům překladu vlastních jmen a s tím souvisejícímu rozboru jmen postav objevujících se v knize, možnosti překladu dialektů a základní problematice překladu veršů. The thesis has a practical and theoretical part. The practical part contains an English-Czech translation of a chapter from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling. The theoretical part deals with translating proper names and analysing of the main characters' proper names and translating dialects and verses.
