Perspectives of school counselors on working with children from divorced families

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá tématem, jak rozvod rodičů působí na děti ve školním prostředí z pohledu školních poradenských pracovníků. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá rozvodem, jeho fázemi a příčinami. Druhá kapitola teoretické části věnuje pozornost samotným dětem z rozvedených rodin ve školním prostředí. Třetí kapitola teoretické části popisuje školní poradenské pracoviště a další externí pomoc dětem z rozvedených rodin. V empirické části po shrnutí metodologie následuje analýza kvalitativního výzkumu s šesti polostrukturovanými rozhovory vedenými s pracovníky školních poradenských pracovišť. Výzkum se snaží zjistit, jak školní poradenští pracovníci vnímají děti z rozvedených rodin. S tím souvisejí další faktory, jako je komunikace pracovníků s rodiči dětí, vztahy dětí se spolužáky a učiteli.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of how parental divorce affects children in the school environment from the perspective of school counselors. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with divorce, its stages and causes. The second chapter of the theoretical part pays attention to children from divorced families themselves in the school environment. The third chapter of the theoretical part describes the school counseling service and other external help for children from divorced families. In the empirical part, a summary of the methodology is followed by an analysis of qualitative research with six semi-structured interviews with staff of school counseling offices. The research is trying to find out how school counselors perceive and approach children from divorced families. Other factors are related to this, such as the communication of the workers with the parents of the children, the relationships of the children with classmates and teachers.
