Modern management styles and possibilities of their application in the conditions of public administration organizations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou moderních stylů řízení, a to v kontextu veřejné správy. První dvě kapitoly jsou věnovány teoretickým východiskům. Představena je problematika veřejné správy, uvedeny jsou hlavní prvky řízení lidských zdrojů, specifika managementu ve veřejné správě. Detailně jsou popsány vybrané moderní styly řízení. Na teoretická východiska je ve třetí kapitole práce navázáno realizací vlastního výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo analyzovat styl řízení ve firmě BKOM. Dílčím cílem bylo zjistit, jaké jsou možnosti změny stylu řízení ve firmě BKOM, v návaznosti na identifikovaných přednostech a nedostatcích současného stylu řízení. Dalším dílčím cílem bylo navržení změn v řízení lidských zdrojů ve firmě BKOM. Výzkum byl koncipován jako smíšený. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 108 pracovníků firmy BKOM a 5 probandů z managementu firmy. Výsledky poukázaly na specifika řízení lidských zdrojů ve veřejné správě, která vedou k tomu, že ve veřejné správě nelze využívat všechny moderní styly řízení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of modern management styles in the context of public administration. The first two chapters are devoted to theoretical background. The issue of public administration is introduced, the main elements of human resources management, the specifics of management in public administration are presented. Selected modern management styles are described in detail. In the third chapter, the theoretical basis is followed by the implementation of its own research, the aim of which was to analyze the management style in the company BKOM. The partial goal was to find out what are the possibilities to change the management style in the company BKOM, in connection with the identified advantages and disadvantages of the current management style. Another partial goal was to propose changes in human resources management in the company BKOM. The research was conceived as mixed. The research group consisted of 108 BKOM employees and 5 probands from the company's management. The results pointed to the specifics of human resource management in public administration, which lead to the fact that not all modern management styles can be used in public administration.
