The current state of self-defense for people with a visual impairment in Europe

Abstract:

Tématem práce je zkoumání současného stavu výuky sebeobrany pro osoby se zrakovým postižením (ZP), tedy organizací a jednotlivců, zabývajících se tímto tématem na území Evropských států České republiky, Anglie, Německa, Rakouska, Polska a Slovenska. Práce se ve svých kapitolách dotýká problematiky zrakových vad a toho, jak mohou zasahovat do procesu nácviku nebo aplikace sebeobrany, představuje konfliktní situaci a její specifika pro osoby se ZP, předkládá seznam organizací, zabývajících se pohybovými aktivitami, uzpůsobenými pro potřeby osob se ZP na území ČR a především také seznam organizací, které se v nedávné minulosti zabývali nebo zabývají problematikou sebeobrany osob se ZP ve zmíněných státech. Cílem práce je tedy poskytnout ucelený pohled na současný stav a vývoj výuky sebeobrany pro osoby se ZP v Evropě.

Abstract:

The subject of this work is research of the current state of education of self-defense for people with visual impairments (PWVI). The main focus is on the individuals and organizations involved in Europe – specifically in the states of Czech republic, England, Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovenia. The work contains a classification of visual impairments and the ways it interferes with the issues of self-defense – both the education and application. Introduces the conflict situation and it’s specifics for the PWVI, produces the list of organizations that conducts the physical activities, adapted for the needs of PWVI in the Czech republic and mainly presents the list of organizations (or individuals) that were recently (or still are) involved in the self-defense for PWVI. The objective of the work is to present the list organizations, which were from the 2005 to the present involved in the education of self-defense, designated for the specific needs of educational process and application of PWVI and summarize the current state of education of self-defense for said group in Europe.
