Application of methods of decision making theory on equities traded on PSE

Abstract:

Cílem práce je poskytnout investiční doporučení pro obchodování s nejznámějšími akciovými tituly Pražské burzy. V první kapitole teoretické části je obsažen popis vícekriteriálního hodnocení variant, podstatnou část tvoří detailnější charakteristika různých výpočetních metod. Pak následují základy vícekriteriálního lineárního programování, jako základ pro cílové programování. Dále se práce zaobírá základními vlastnostmi kapitálového trhu, hlavně obchodů s akciemi na Burze cenných papírů v Praze a aktuální situací v České republice. Též zmiňuje teoretické základy sestavení portfolia, a vyčíslení jeho rizika. V druhé, praktické části aplikujeme tyto znalosti na konkrétní tituly, charakterizujeme možné varianty a kritéria. Nejprve zjistíme, které tituly jsou optimální pro investora, a srovnáme výsledky různých metod. Dále zkonstruujeme portfolia podle různých hledisek a poskytneme investorovi možné způsoby rozvržení prostředků. Nakonec naznačíme možnosti zohlednění stochastického charakteru akciových kurzů.

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to provide investment advices for trading with the most known equities of Prague Stock Exchange. The first chapter contains the description of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives, a more detailed description of different methods of calculation makes up a substantial part. Then the basics of multi-criteria linear programming follow, we prepare goal programming for further work there. In continuation the paper deals with the basic features of the capital market, mainly with equities, trading on Prague Stock Exchange and the current situation in Czech Republic. It also mentions the theoretical basics of creating the portfolio, mainly quantification of risk. In the second part, this knowledge is applied to specific stocks. Possible options and criteria are characterized. First, equities optimal for the decision maker are determined and a comparison of results of different methods is made. Furthermore, the portfolio is constructed based on different perspectives and investor's possibilities in terms of allocation of funds. Finally, possibilities for consideration of the stock prices' stochastic character are indicated.
