Organised crime in the minds of high school students

Abstract:

Vzhledem ke stále se zvyšujícímu násilí v celém světě a nárůstu kriminálních činů, které jsou čím dál častěji spojovány s organizovaným zločinem, pokusil jsem se ve své diplomové práci nahlédnout do problematiky organizovaného zločinu a povědomí studentů středních škol o tomto fenoménu současné doby. Cílem práce je představit a charakterizovat tento jev, upozornit na současná rizika a úskalí, která sebou přináší a zároveň se bezprostředně dotýkají nejen společnosti jako celku, ale i dospívající mládeže, aniž by si tato rizika blíže uvědomovala. V teoretické části jsem se zaměřil na vymezení pojmů organizovaný zločin, charakteristika, znaky a druhy organizovaného zločinu. Nastínil jsem jeho historii a současný vývoj, dále vnímání z pohledu adolescentů, možností prevence a právní úpravy. V praktické části jsem provedl vlastní kvantitativní výzkum, spočívající v dotazníkovém šetření mezi studenty středních škol, kde jsem se zaměřil na zjištění znalostí, postojů a případně zkušeností studentů středních škol v souvislosti s fenoménem organizovaného zločinu. Dále jsem se snažil zachytit možné rozdíly v jeho vnímání vzhledem k věku, pohlaví, případně typem střední školy.

Abstract:

Due to the increasing violence in the world, and due to the increase in the number of crimes that are increasingly associated with organized crime, I have tried in my thesis to look into the issue of organized crime and awareness of secondary school students about this phenomenon of the present time. The aim of my work is to present and visualize this phenomenon, highlight the current risks and pitfalls that come with it. These risks are also of direct concern to both society as a whole, but also to adolescents, who do not realize these risks. In the theoretical part I focused on the definition of terms: organized crime, its characteristics, its characters and types. I outlined the history and current progression, as well as the perception of organized crime from the perspective of adolescents, prevention and legislation. In the practical part, I conducted qualitative research, which is based on the questionnaire investigation among secondary school students, here I focused on finding knowledge, attitudes, or experience of high school students in connection with the phenomenon of organized crime.Next I tried to capture possible differences in the perception of organized crime with regard to age, gender, and due to the type of secondary school.
