Presentation as Instrument of Communication

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá prezentací a neverbální komunikací užitou při prezentování. V teoretické části jsou postupně rozebírána jednotlivá teoretická východiska dané problematiky, konkrétně pak vývoj prezentace do současné podoby, specifika moderní prezentace, definice prezentace pro potřeby této práce a faktory úspěšné prezentace. Dále jsou ve stěžejní kapitole této práce rozebírány jednotlivé složky neverbální komunikace v kontextu jejich využití v manažerské činnosti. V aplikační části této práce je užití těchto složek neverbální komunikace sledováno na vzorku dvou úspěšných prezentací. Za pomoci námi sestaveného hodnotícího formuláře zjišťujeme, zda byly všechny složky neverbální komunikace prezentátorem užity a v jaké úspěšnosti. Vyhodnocením zjištěných výsledků dojdeme k závěru, jaké složky neverbální komunikace jsou klíčové pro úspěšnost prezentace a stanovíme doporučení, jak s nimi v prezentaci pracovat.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the presentation in general and nonverbal communication used in the presentation. Single theoretical issues are subsequently inscribed in the theoretical section of this thesis, in particular evolution of the presentation from the inception to the present day, specification and definition of the presentation and elements of the successful presentation. Further the fundamental section of this thesis deals with the individual elements of the nonverbal communication in conjunction with the practical usage in the managerial sphere. The application section of this thesis describes usage of the mentioned nonverbal communication elements on the sample of two successful presentations. Towards the conclusion of this thesis we draw conclusion from the compiled evaluation form whether all elements of the nonverbal communication were used by the rhetorician and in which fruitfulness. In conclusion there are stated key elements of the nonverbal communication essential for the successful presentation in accordance with the provided research and further recommendation how to work with the key elements in the presentation.
