Tax reforms in modern history of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá daňovými reformami z pohledu teorie. Snaží se co nejpřesněji definovat pojem reforma a popsat nejdůležitější daňové změny u období, o kterých je jako o reformách hovořeno. Hlavním cílem práce je zanalyzovat a vyhodnotit, zda tyto "daňové reformy", uskutečněné mezi lety 1993 - 2009 v ČR, opravdu naplňují podstatu teoretického pojmu. Vzhledem k rozsahu tématu a množství uskutečněných změn se zabývám čtyřmi obdobími. Lze říci, že jednoznačná a přesná definice pojmu reforma neexistuje, každá ponechává určitou "volnost". Do značné míry je tedy na každém z nás, jak si definice vykládá a jak je chápe. Daňové reformy, ale i reformy obecně nevznikají samovolně. Jsou vždy uskutečňovány v návaznosti na určité změny v daném systému či v závislosti na vnějším prostředí.

Abstract:

My Bachelor thesis is focused on tax reforms from view of the theory. The study is trying to accurately define the concept of reform and describe the most important tax changes in the period, which are called reforms. The main aim is to analyze and evaluate whether these "tax reforms" between 1993 - 2009 in the Czech Republic constitute a theoretical concept indeed. Regarding the theme extent, the focus of my thesis is mainly on four periods. We can say that clear and precise definition of reform does not exist. To a considerable extent is up to us, as we interpret the definition. Reforms are always made in response to certain changes in the systems.
