Analysis of the Motivation in the Selected Company (Pfizer)

Abstract:

Práce je věnována analýze systému motivace ve vybrané mezinárodní firmě – Pfizer. Cílem práce je navrhnout doporučení pro vylepšení motivačního systému ve společnosti Pfizer. Úkolem práce je také prozkoumat současný stav motivace pracovníků a faktory jejich spokojenosti a výkonu. Dotazníkové šetření je provedeno v rámci českého týmu Pfizer aumožňuje prozkoumat motivační profily, úroveň motivace a spokojenosti respondentů v práci. V práci bylo prokázáno, že celková spokojenost žen s prací je statisticky významně vyšší než spokojenost mužů. Nebyla ovšem prokázána statistická významnost závislosti hodnocení spravedlivosti odměňování a celkové spokojenosti pracovníků. S přihlédnutím k odlišnostem motivačních profilů mužů a žen byla vytvořena obecná doporučení ve vztahu ke změně přístupu manažerů k vytváření a delegování úkolů, stylu řízení. Součástí práce jsou návrhy firemních soutěží, rozvoje systému stanovení cílů zaměstnanci, rozšíření nabídky zaměstnaneckých benefitů a úpravám cafeteria systému.

Abstract:

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of the motivation system in the selected international company – Pfizer. The aim of this work is to propose recommendations for improving the motivation system in Pfizer. The task of the work is also to examine the current state of motivation of employees and factors of their satisfaction and performance. The questionnaire survey is conducted within the Czech Pfizer team and allows to examine the motivational profiles, level of motivation and satisfaction of respondents at work. It was proved in the work that the overall satisfaction of women with work is statistically significantly higher than the satisfaction of men. However, the statistical significance of the assessment of fairness of rewards and overall employee satisfaction was not found. Taking into account the differences in the motivational profiles of men and women, general recommendations were made in relation to changing the approach of managers to creating and delegating tasks, management style. Part of the work are proposals for corporate competitions, development of a system for setting goals for employees, expanding the range of employee benefits and adjustments to the cafeteria system.
