Contemporary tourism trends in the Czech Republic

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce na téma Aktuální trendy v cestovním ruchu na území České republiky je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část je věnována zejména definici pojmů trend, cestovní ruch, specifikaci lázeňského cestovního ruchu a prostředí trhu. Následně je definován pojem destinace cestovního ruchu a rozebrán průběh jejího životního cyklu. V posledním úseku teoretické části je potom definována a podrobněji rozebrána nabídka a poptávka na trhu cestovního ruchu. Analytická část je uvedena představením Koncepce státní politiky cestovního ruchu v České republice a následnou stručnou SWOT analýzou nabídky cestovního ruchu v ČR. Dále je pozornost zaměřena na výčet a charakteristiku obecných trendů v CR, které jsou potom demonstrovány za pomoci bazických a řetězových indexů a grafu. Poslední úsek analytické části je věnován analýze nabídky a trendů v lázeňském cestovním ruchu v ČR v letech 2003 – 2012.V úplném závěru analytické části je pozornost zaměřena na analýzu konkrétních trendů v lázeňském cestovním ruchu na území České republiky, a to především z hlediska počtu hostů a přenocování v lázeňských zařízeních, jednotlivých krajů a významných zdrojových trhů, jejichž vývoj je nastíněn za pomoci bazických a řetězových indexů a zpracovaných grafů. Návrhová část se potom snaží navrhnout, jak zlepšit postavení lázeňského cestovního ruchu na trhu, zejména co se týče nabídky nových produktů.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis on Contemporary Tourism Trends in the Czech Republic is divided into three major parts. The first part is devoted to the definition of notions trend, tourism, spa tourism specification and market environment. Subsequently, the notion of a destination is defined and specifically described its life cycle. In the last section of the theoretical part supply and demand in the tourism market is defined. The analytical part is presented by introducing the Concept of State Tourism Policy in the Czech Republic, followed by a brief SWOT analysis of tourism supply in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, attention is focused on the enumeration and characterization of the general trends in tourism, which are then demonstrated with the help of basic and chain indexes and a bar chart. The last section of the analytic part is devoted to the analysis of supply and trends in the spa tourism in the Czech Republic between years 2003 - 2012. This subchapter is introduced by a brief historical development of spas in the Czech Republic and SWOT analysis of the supply in the spa tourism. At the end of the analytical part, the attention is focused on the analysis of specific trends in spa tourism in the Czech Republic, especially in terms of the number of guests and overnight stays in spa facilities, individual regions and major source markets, whose development is outlined with the help of basic and chain indexes and processed pie charts. Proposal part tries to suggest how to improve the position of spa tourism in the tourism market especially regarding new products.
