„And thus I terminated the services for that several times damned Austria.” With regard to the way of legionary Josef Viktora to the eastern frontline during the Fist World War.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá cestou českého vojáka Josefa Viktory, který v době první světové války bojoval na východní frontě a následně padl do ruského zajetí. Snaží se zmapovat na příkladě jedné konkrétní osoby situaci na frontě i v zajetí. Zprostředkovat prožívání a i názory jednoho z „účastníků“ první světové války - Josefa Viktory – jež byly zaznamenány v ručně psaných denících, které tvoří nosnou strukturu práce a z metodologického hlediska historikova bádání jsou velice cenným a vzhledem k časovému rozestupu dnes již málo dostupným materiálem. Práce je rozčleněna do tematických kapitol a zachycuje nejdůležitější události z let 1914 – 1920 prostřednictvím svědectví pana Josefa Viktory. V závěru práce seznamuji čtenáře s výsledky mého poznání a možnostmi dalšího využití.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is concrerned with the of Czech solider Josef Viktora, who Was during the First World War fighting in the eastern frontone and subsequently taken captive in Russia. The thesis aids to map the situation in the frontone as well as in captivityon the basis of one persons´s witness. The thesis is furthermore focused on mediation of experiences and point sof view presented by one of the WWI „participants“ – Josef Viktora – which were recorded in handwritten diaries and which represent central structure of the thesis. From historian´s methodological point of view, the a forementioned diaries are valuace and due to the remote past also insufficiently available material. The thesis itself is dividend into thematic chapters and captures the most important events from 1914 to 1920 via witness of Mr. Josef Viktora. Readers are in conclusion acquainted with the results of the author´s cognition and possibilities of further utilization.
