Active involvement of children and adolescents in library lessons

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou knihovnických lekcí pro školy mateřské, základní, střední ale i speciální. Teoretická část se věnuje vývojové psychologii dětí a mládeže a tomu, jak tato stádia ovlivňují jejich schopnost zapojit se do knihovnických besed. Také se zabývá otázkou, zda mají knihovníci pracující s těmito cílovými skupinami, alespoň základy pedagogické práce. Praktická část je založena na zkušenostech knihovníků pořádajících besedy a také z pozorování samotných dětí. Cílem práce je vytvořit pomocný materiál pro lektory besed zaměřený na aktivní práci s dětmi a dospívajícími.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the problem of library lessons for kindergarten, primary schools, secondary schools and special schools. The theoretical part is devoted to developmental psychology of children and youth and how these stages affect the ability to participate in library lessons. It also deals with question of whether librarians working with these target groups have at least the basics of pedagogical work. The practical part is based on the experiences of librarians staging the lessons and also on the observations of the children themselves. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to make helpful materiál for lecturers focused on active work with children and youth.
