Evaluation of the current situation and performance of horses in jumping competitions in Slovakia

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo zjistit výkonnost parkurových koní, které soutěžili na Slovensku. Výsledky se porovnávaly z výkonností parkurových koní na území České republiky a ve světě. Literární část jsme zaměřili na historii vývoje parkurového sportu a zahájení využívání skokových dovedností koní pro sportovní účely. Zaměřili jsme se na charakteristiku přesných pravidel této disciplíny i na plemenná, která byla vyšlechtěna na to, aby dosahovala co největší výkonnosti v parkurovém sportu na vysoké jezdecké úrovni. Při samotném výzkumu jsme se zabývali zjištěními, které faktory ovlivňují výkonnost jednotlivých koní. Konkrétní údaje, se kterými jsme pracovali na získání našich výsledků, jsme získali od Jezdeckého oddílu TJ Slávia Univerzity veterinárního lékařství v Košicích. Z dostupných údajů jsme se zaměřili na vliv roku startu, věku, pohlaví a plemene koně. Jako vysoce průkazné jsme dokázali faktory věku, plemene a roku startu. Jako průkazné nám vyšel pouze faktor pohlaví. Jako nevýkonnější nám vyšel rok startu 2019 s průměrnou bodovou výkonností 191,03 bodů. Hodnota modu byla 16 bodů s četností 23 koní, což je nejlepší dosažený výsledek modu za všechny roky. Hodnota mediánu byla v roce 2019 druhá nejvyšší, konkrétně 83 bodů. Nejvýkonnější byly koně ve věku 7-12 let s průměrnou výkonností 151,86 bodů. Z této skupiny jsme zjistili, že nejvýkonnější koně jsou ve věku 8 let s průměrnou výkonností s 174,54 bodů. Faktor pohlaví, který jako jediný vyšel průkazný, nám zjistil, že nejvýkonnější jsou valaši se 141,4 body průměrné výkonnosti. Nejvýkonnějším plemenem bylo BWP s průměrnou výkonností s 270,73 bodů.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis was to determine the performance of show jumping horses that competed in Slovakia. The results were compared with the performance of show jumping horses in the Czech Republic and in the world. We focused the literary part on the history of the development of show jumping and the beginning of the use of jumping skills of horses for sports purposes. We focused on the characteristics of the exact rules of this discipline and on the breeding, which was bred to achieve the highest possible performance in show jumping at a high equestrian level. In the research itself, we looked at the factors that affect the performance of individual horses. We obtained specific data that we worked with to obtain our results from the Equestrian Section of TJ Slavia of the University of Veterinary Medicine in Košice. From the available data, we focused on the effect of the year of start, age, sex and breed of horse. We proved the factors of age, breed and year of start as highly convincing. Only the gender factor proved to be conclusive. We started the year 2019 as the most efficient with an average point performance of 191.03 points. The value of the mod was 16 points with a frequency of 23 horses, which is the best achieved result of the mod in all years. The median value was the second highest in 2019, namely 83 points. The most powerful were horses aged 7-12 years with an average performance of 151.86 points. From this group, we found that the most powerful horses are at the age of 8 with an average performance of 174.54 points. The gender factor, which was the only one to prove convincing, found that the Wallachians with the most efficient performance are the most efficient. The most powerful breed was BWP with an average performance of 270.73 points.
