Evaluation of a reengineering business plan

Abstract:

Česká pošta patří k podnikům, které zná snad každý občan České republiky. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá nejprve vymezením základních pojmů, které s analýzou tohoto podniku souvisí. Jsou zde rozebrány metody finanční analýzy, její uživatelé a zdroje, dále jsou vysvětleny pojmy benchmarking a reengineering, které tvoří základní rámec pro pochopení hlavní praktické části. Výzkumná část práce nejprve detailně zkoumá a analyzuje finanční zdraví společnosti, dále porovnává vybrané finanční ukazatele s podobným podnikem působícím však v jiné zemi, ale především se věnuje identifikaci dopadů a efektivnosti, které přinesl implementovaný reorganizační model. Práce rozebírá, jak tato změna ovlivní efektivnost organizace, zda přinese podniku snížení nákladů, a celkově jaké výstupy z této změny plynou. V závěru práce jsou definována doporučení pro Českou poštu, která však mohou být přínosná i pro jiné podniky, které chtějí v rámci svého působení nějakou změnu implementovat.

Abstract:

The Czech post is a state-owned company, well known all over the Czech Republic This bachelor’s thesis defines the basic concepts related to analysing the company from a financial point of view. The thesis discusses methods of financial analysis, while it focuses on its users and sources. Concepts of benchmarking and reengineering are also introduced. Financial analysis, benchmarking and reengineering all form a basic framework for understanding the concept of the practical part of the thesis. The research examines Czech Post’s financial situation and then compares selected financial indicators with a similar company operating in another country. Its main focus is identifying the impact of implementing a reengineering model. The thesis discusses if the reengineering business plan is efficient and if it will bring the company a reduction in costs – which is its main purpose. Recommendations in the conclusion can be beneficial for the company itself, or for other companies considering implementing reengineering.
