Sheltered housing as a new possibility of residential services for mentally handicapped. Case study of sheltered housing in organization Fidentia

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá tématem chráněného bydlení jako nové možnosti pobytových služeb pro mentálně postižené. Vybraná problematika je nejdříve nahlížena z teoretické perspektivy a následně je empiricky zkoumána v konkrétní organizaci Fidentia. Teoretická část se nejprve věnuje tématu ústavní péče, resp. její rizikovosti. Na tuto oblast navazuje problematika transformace a deinstitucionalizace ústavní péče, ze které v České republice vzešla mj. sociální služba chráněného bydlení. Chráněné bydlení je komplexně představeno z hlediska jeho uživatelů, typů, složení aktivit, které poskytuje a vybraných charakteristik práce s uživateli této služby. Empirická část se zabývá výzkumným šetření, jehož cílem je popsat konkrétní způsob realizace chráněného bydlení v organizaci Fidentia, a informovat tak o potenciální podobě služby chráněného bydlení. Pro výzkum byl zvolen výzkumný design případové studie. V rámci oblasti realizace chráněného bydlení přineslo výzkumné bádání konkrétní zjištění o nastavení denního programu, fungování klíčových asistentů a asistentů a vytváření individuálních plánů.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis contains the theme of sheltered housing as a new possibility of residential services for mentally handicapped. The chosen issue is at first theoretically described and then empirically analyzed in organization Fidentia. The theoretical part starts with the theme of institutional care and especially its risks. The next part describes problems of transformation and deinstitutionalization of institutional care, from which the social service of the sheltered housing was made in the Czech Republic. The sheltered housing is introduced in a complex way from the point of view of users, types, composition of activities, which are provided and chosen characteristics of the work with users of this service. The empiric part contains a research which focuses on description of specific realization of sheltered housing in organization Fidentia. It also inform about a potential form of service of the sheltered housing. The design of case study was chosen for this research. This particular research brought information about the specific knowledge of the day program, operation of the case managers and assistants and making of individual plans in the sheltered housing.
