Cooperation of NGOs in Melnik with emphasis on selected examples from within the Regional Museum of Melnik

Abstract:

Práce popisuje možnosti spolupráce neziskových organizací ve městě Mělníku s důrazem na hlavní vybrané příklady z prostředí Regionálního muzea Mělník. V textu je stručně popsán neziskový sektor, jeho hlavní specifika a právní formy neziskových organizací. Následující část práce se zaměřuje především na město Mělník, jeho historii a tradice. Právě k tradicím a minulosti se odkazuje činnost mnoha neziskových organizací, jejichž seznam předkládám ve čtvrté kapitole. Neziskové organizace a jejich aktivita tvoří základ pro hledání existující spolupráce. Cílem této práce je popis existující spolupráce mezi neziskovými organizacemi a jejího přínosu pro všechny zainteresované strany. Vybrané příklady ukazují výhody spolupráce v oblasti tvorby kulturních programů, při budování dobrého PR organizací, na poli propagace či úsporu finančních prostředků i lidské práce. V závěru práce jmenuji i možná negativa či rizika spolupráce. Mezi hlavní obavy patří nedostatek finančních prostředků, omezení dotací či rozpočtů nebo odchod aktivních lidí z jejich stávajících pracovních/dobrovolnických pozic. Posledním bodem této práce jsou návrhy k rozvoji spolupráce, které vzešly z rozhovorů a důkladného pozorování situace ve městě i v okolí. Hlavním návrhem v této oblasti je lepší koordinace organizací při plánování kulturních akcí s cílem, aby se tyto akce nepřekrývaly.

Abstract:

The work describes the cooperation of NGOs in Melnik with the main emphasis on selected examples from within the Regional Museum of Melnik. The text briefly describes the non-profit sector, its main aspects and legal forms of NGOs . The following part of the paper focuses on the town of Melnik, its history and traditions. Both, the traditions and the past have been reflected in the work of many non-profit organizations that I describe in chapter four. Non-profit organizations and their activities form the basis for finding existing cooperation. The main aim of this paper is to describe the existing cooperation between NGOs and its benefits to all stakeholders. Selected examples from the environment of the Regional Museum of Melnik demonstrate the benefits of cooperation such as creating of programs of cultural events, building positive PR, financial savings in the field of promotion as well as labour savings in the event of allocation of tasks. In conclusion, I strive to detect possible negatives or risks of cooperation. Among the main concerns I try to point out are the lack of funds, reduction of subsidies or funds in general, retirement of active people from their existing jobs or volunteer positions. The last point of this work is to develop proposals for cooperation that emerged from the interviews and in-depth observations of the situation in and around the town of Melnik. My main proposal in this area is set to suggest a better coordination of organizations in planning their cultural events in order to make cultural events not coinciding.
