Relation between playing computer games and school achievement of secondary school students

Abstract:

Tato rigorózní práce se zabývá problematikou počítačového hráčství u žáků navštěvujících střední školu. Hlavním cílem této práce je zodpovězení otázky, zda existuje vztah počítačového hráčství a školního prospěchu u žáků SŠ. Nasazením souboru na sobě nezávislých metod projektivního testování, dotazníkového šetření a analýzy psaných dokumentů byla získána data, jež existenci popisovaného vztahu počítačového hráčství a školního prospěchu potvrdila.

Abstract:

This rigorous thesis deals with the problematics of playing computer games of secondary school students. The main goal of this work is to answer the question of whether there is a relation between playing computer games and school achievement of secondary school students. By using a set of independent methods of projective testing, questionnaire survey and analysis of written documents, data was obtained that confirmed the existence of the described relation between playing computer games and school achievement.
