Functioning of Analytical Adjectives in the Russian, Czech and Polish Languages

Abstract:

Disertační práce Fungování analytických adjektiv v ruštině, češtině a polštině je věnována morfologicky nezformovaným lexikálním jednotkám, které plní ve vztahu k řídícímu výrazu determinační funkci. Analytická adjektiva, jejichž terminologická nominace vychází z ruské lingvistiky, jsou představena pohledem tzv. úzkého a širokého pojetí. V disertační práci jsou prezentovány aktuální jazykové tendence související s demokratizací jazyka či s rostoucími projevy analytizmu a aglutinace v současných slovanských jazycích. Značná pozornost je věnována teoretickému vymezení analytických adjektiv, jsou nastíněny možné způsoby klasifikace, je prezentována jejich role jako významného strukturního komponentu v rámci analytických konstrukcí. Pozornost je věnována rovněž prefixoidům a řecko-latinským formantům, jež reprezentují aktivní komponenty četných slovotvorných procesů. Analytická adjektiva ruštiny, češtiny a polštiny jsou postoupena důkladné lingvistické analýze, která zkoumá jejich sémantickou povahu, strukturní aspekt a etymologii.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis Functioning of Analytical Adjectives in the Russian, Czech and Polish Languages concentrates on morphologically unformed lexical units having determinative function in relation to the head sentence element. Analytical adjectives whose terminological nomination is derived from Russian linguistics are presented in so-called narrow and broad concepts. Current linguistic tendencies linked with language democratisation or increasing occurrences of analytism and agglutination in contemporary Slavic languages are presented in the dissertation. Great deal of attention is paid to theoretical definition of analytical adjectives, possible ways of classifications are outlined, their role as an important structural component within analytical constructions is presented. Prefixoids and Greek-Latin formants are brought into focus, as they represent active components of numerous word-formation processes. Analytical adjectives of Russian, Czech and Polish have been thoroughly analysed, the analysis examining their semantic nature, structural aspects and etymology.
