Abstract:
Fenylketonurie je vrozená metabolická porucha. Hlavní příčinou této nemoci je nedostatečná či zcela žádná funkčnost enzymu fenylalaninhydroxylasy. Úkolem tohoto enzymu je metabolizovat esenciální L-fenylalanin na L-tyrosin. Pakliže tato funkčnost není dostatečná, hladina fenylalaninu v krvi je zvýšená a působí patologicky. Phenylketonuria is an inborn metabolic disorder. The main cause of this disease is poor or none activity of the enzyme phenylalanine hydroxylase. The purpose of this enzyme is to metabolize essential L-phenylalanine to L-tyrosine. If the function is not sufficient, the blood phenylalanine level is increased and pathological.
