Artificial Intelligence Tools and Their Use in Population Protection

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o využití nástrojů umělé inteligence v ochraně obyvatelstva. Práce se zaměřuje na historii a vývoj umělé inteligence, od jejích počátků v 40. letech 20. století, přes jednoduché algoritmy až po složité systémy využívající strojové učení, počítačové vidění, expertní systémy a zpracování přirozeného jazyka a jejich využití v oblasti ochrany obyvatelstva. Práce dále zkoumá specifické příklady využití umělé inteligence, jako je nasazení chatbotů pro komunikaci s veřejností v krizových situacích a implementaci systémů jako Digital Fire pro detekci a správu požárů. Práce využívá metodu analýzy dostupných zdrojů a SWOT analýzu pro zhodnocení využitelnosti nástrojů umělé inteligence v oblasti bezpečnosti a ochraně obyvatelstva. Provedeným výzkumem jsem zjistila, že využití těchto nástrojů v oblasti bezpečnosti je má vysoký potenciál, je však potřeba další výzkum a vývoj, stejně jako zajištění, že tyto technologie budou implementovány eticky a s ohledem na ochranu soukromí a bezpečnost dat.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis discusses the utilization of artificial intelligence tools in population protection. It focuses on the history and development of artificial intelligence, from its origins in the 1940s, through simple algorithms to complex systems utilizing machine learning, computer vision, expert systems, and natural language processing, and their application in population protection. The thesis also examines specific examples of artificial intelligence utilization, such as deploying chatbots for communication with the public in crisis situations and implementing systems like Digital Fire for fire detection and management. The work employs a method of analyzing available resources and SWOT analysis to evaluate the usability of artificial intelligence tools in the field of security and population protection. Through the conducted research, it has been found that the utilization of these tools in security has high potential, but further research and development are needed, as well as ensuring that these technologies are implemented ethically and with regard to privacy protection and data security.
