Applying the Principles of Natural Childbirth in Maternity Hospitals

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na principy přirozeného porodu a jejich uplatňování v porodnicích. Hlavním cílem bylo vypracovat přehledovou studii, jež se zabývá problematikou přirozeného porodu, principy přirozeného porodu, které vznikly na základě výzkumů a studií světových porodnických a gynekologických organizací a iniciativ. V první části práce jsou podrobně rozebírány jednotlivé body Desatera přirozeného porodu v porodnici, kde je zmíněna i legislativa související s porodní asistencí. Dále pak je definována profese porodní asistentky, její vlastnosti a schopnosti, které by měla mít při vykonávání této profese. V další kapitole jsou uvedeny a popsány vybrané profesní organizace, a to jak české, tak zahraniční. A v závěru první části práce jsou zmíněny některé významné osobnosti českého i světového porodnictví. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na diskusi o dané problematice a doporučeními pro praxi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the principles of natural childbirth and their application in maternity hospitals. The main objective was to produce a review study that addresses the issue of natural childbirth, the principles of natural childbirth that have been developed based on research and studies by global obstetric and gynaecological organisations and initiatives. In the first part of the work, the individual points of the Ten Points of Natural Childbirth in the Maternity Hospital are discussed in detail, where the legislation related to midwifery is also mentioned. Then, the profession of midwife is defined, its characteristics and the skills it should have in practicing this profession. In the next chapter, selected professional organisations, both Czech and foreign, are listed and described. And in the end of the first part of the thesis some important personalities of Czech and world midwifery are mentioned. The second part of the thesis focuses on the discussion of the issue and recommendations for practice.
